
WORKING MEDIA REGISTRATION
Thank you for your interest in covering Interbike 2012. Registration for working media and press for the 2012 show is not yet available.
Interbike invites qualified working media professionals from consumer and trade news organizations to submit a registration request for a complimentary working media badge. If you are one of the following - publisher (one per magazine not including associate publisher), freelance writer, staff writer, editor, reporter, photo editor, photographer, technician or producer, you may qualify for an Interbike Working Media Badge. Employees of media outlets who do not work in an editorial capacity are not qualified for a working media badge.
After you register online you will receive a confirmation email that your registration request has been received.
- Business card listing editorial title & media affiliation
- Masthead verifying your editorial position or a letter of assignment
- Copies of fitness/sports related articles with your byline
- Photo ID, required at the show
If you register before in time you will receive your badge and show information prior to the show. During the registration process, please provide direct contact information, so we can contact you concerning your registration request and mailings.
(By providing your information, you explicitly consent to receive fax, telephone and email communications from Interbike under 47 U.S.C. Code 227 and any other applicable regulations.)

Below is information concerning on-site registration, how to determine if you qualify as working media and guidelines for working the show.
All Media registering on-site must provide the following:
- Hardcopy of the publication masthead listing name and title
- Hardcopy of article with byline
- Photo ID
- Business card
Am I Working Media?
If you fall under one of these categories, you may register for a "Working Media" badge (no cost):
Editorial Staff - writers, editors and photographers listed on the masthead as full time staff members
Freelance Photographer - on assignment for a major publication
Freelance Writer - on assignment for a major publication
Stylist - on assignment for a major publication or television program
Video and Television Crews - on assignment by a major broadcast / cable station
Internet News Site - one editor and one photographer per site
Bloggers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and fall under the same guidelines as Internet Working Media outlined below.
Specific Guidelines for Internet Working Media:
- Every web site qualifying as working media will receive no more than two working media badges (one photo editor with photo credentials and/or one editor/writer.) All additional representatives from the Web site will be required to pay the non-exhibiting manufacturer fee to receive a Media Sales badge.
- Every web site will be fully scrutinized for editorial content prior to receiving working media badges.
- Exhibiting web sites must have a media badge in order to cover the show.
- Web site must be active at time of registration.
- Only digital still and film still cameras are allowed. Video cameras are not allowed into the show with the exception of pre-approved television news crews.
- An Internet connection will be available at the Press Room registration area so on-site applicants can be immediately qualified as media sales or working media.
If you fall under one of the following categories, you will need to register for a "Media Sales" badge:
- Account Representative -- account executives, agency sales managers or other sales titles
- Book and Magazine Publisher
- Film companies/production companies not on assignment
- Marketing Company Representative
- Public Relations Representative
- Stock/Agency Photographer
- Photographer without a letter of assignment
No Video Cameras Allowed
(Unless on assignment for a major broadcast/cable station)
Photographers and Videographers:
As a courtesy to exhibitors, please ask for permission and explain your intended use of the images before taking pictures.
NOTICE REGARDING AUDIO/VIDEO RECORDING OF EVENTS
When you enter a Nielsen Business Media event, you will be entering an area where photography, video and audio recording may occur.
By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on web sites, or any other purpose by Nielsen and its affiliates and representatives. You release Nielsen, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images,
video and/or or sound recordings.
By entering the event premises, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Nielsen or the person or entity designated to do so by Nielsen.
You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.
